Useful points to bear before you invest in Stock Markets:

Make sure your broker is registered with SEBI & Exchanges. Do not deal with unregistered intermediaries.
Do not be misguided by market rumours, luring advertisements or ‘hot tips’ of the day.
Invest in companies cautiously, spend some time checking out about the company before investing.
Do your own research before investing in any stock
Do not get attracted by luring advertisements on Internet, newspaper.

How to manage your Demat account

Update e-mail id contact, add mobile numbers in demat account.
Update Income slab regularly.
Verify your transaction statement carefully for all debits and credits in your demat account. In case, of any unauthorized debit or credit, inform your DP immediately.
While accepting Delivery Instructions Slips (DIS) book from your DP, ensure that your Client ID is pre-stamped on all the pages along with the serial numbers.
Keep your DIS book safely and do not sign or issue blank or incomplete DIS.
Strike out the empty space, if any, on the DIS, before submitting to DP.
Submit DIS ahead of the deadline time.

Do submit copy of PAN card of all account holders to your DP to open and operate your demat account.
